What’s New:

  • Expanded Data: Over 200 brand-new benchmarks added across industries.
  • Increased Precision: 53 benchmarks have been promoted to "Standard" due to increased data volume.
  • Data Cleanup: 86 outdated benchmarks removed and 37 moved to "Emerging" to ensure your comparisons remain statistically robust.

Introducing Employee Data Limited Permissions (Scoped)

Managing your people data is now more flexible. We’ve introduced the Employee Data Limited permission role, allowing you to empower HR Business Partners and Regional Managers to manage their own teams without granting access to the entire organization.

What’s New:

  • Scoped Access: Restrict data management to specific departments, locations, or demographic groups, ensuring leaders only see the employees relevant to their role.
  • Autonomy for Leads: Scoped admins can now update attributes, activate/deactivate accounts, and resolve errors, like bounced emails, for their specific group.
  • Privacy by Design: To ensure maximum data security, this role is automatically restricted from viewing Sensitive Demographics, keeping your most private employee data limited to full Account Administrators.

This update balances decentralised management with strict data governance, giving your regional leads the tools they need while keeping sensitive information secure.

You can now better protect your employees' most personal data with our new Sensitive Demographics feature. This update allows you to collect and report on sensitive data, such as sexual orientation or disability status, with an additional layer of privacy and control.

  • Enhanced Privacy: Limit access to sensitive data to a select group of administrators, ensuring personal information is only seen by those who truly need it.
  • Flexible Setup: Easily designate existing demographics as "sensitive" or create new ones to align with your organization’s DE&I goals.

Smarter Employee Deactivation

We’ve updated our deactivation logic to be more intuitive and timezone-aware. Previously, assigning an End Date triggered an instant lockout; now, the system ensures employees maintain access until the very end of their final working day.

What’s New:

  • End of Day Deactivations: When you assign an End Date, users now remain active until 11:59 PM in your account’s local timezone. This prevents mid-day access cuts on an employee's last day.
  • Precise Full Imports: If a user is excluded from a Full Import, the system now assigns an End Date of the day before the import. This ensures they are deactivated immediately upon the sync.

These changes provide a smoother transition for departing staff while ensuring your security remains tight during bulk data updates.

The Goal Usage Report just received an upgrade. You can now generate a single, unified export containing all your key details, eliminating the need to manually merge files to see the full picture.

What’s New:

  • Custom Demographics: Tailor your exports by including specific demographic data to power your internal reporting.
  • Unified Data: Access key results and full goal alignment data within a single, comprehensive file.

These enhancements are designed to provide the deep goal-tracking data you need, minus the manual work.

General AI Coach Gets a UI Refresh

General AI Coach has had a refresh to kick off the new year making it clearer and easier for employees to start meaningful coaching conversations at work.

What’s New:

  • Clearer positioning that introduces General AI Coach as a workplace coach, helping users quickly understand what it’s for and how it’s different
  • Stronger privacy messaging to build confidence and trust when sharing thoughts or questions

These updates are designed to help more people move from viewing Coach to actually engaging with it, unlocking more value from every visit.

Coach in Perform Snippets Now Live

We’re kicking off the new year with an update designed to make giving great feedback easier. Managers can now paste large amounts of text directly into Coach in Perform (251 words or more), and it’ll automatically convert that content into snippets that Coach can use.

Many managers write reviews and feedback in other tools before coming to Culture Amp. Snippets make it easy to bring that work across so managers can focus on improving the quality of feedback with Coach, instead of fixing formatting or breaking up long drafts.

What’s New:

  • Pasted text is automatically converted into snippets (files)
  • Clear file indicators when content is handled as a file
  • Support for multiple snippets, with preview and remove options

Performance Reviews

New Ratings Matrix and Activity Log in Calibrations

We’ve introduced the Ratings Matrix to calibration views to help Performance Admins and HRBPs lead more objective, data-informed talent discussions. By visualising how performance ratings are distributed against other scales (such as a 9-box or 4x4 grid), teams can more easily identify potential bias and ensure fair outcomes.

What's New:

  • Interactive Ratings Matrix: View and adjust performance ratings in real-time within your calibration view to see the spread of talent across your scales.
  • Calibration Activity Log: A new "View activity" list tracks all changes made to performance and rating scale questions for better transparency.
  • Administrator Access: The activity log is available in all calibration views for performance administrators and HRBPs, and the matrix is accessible for any single-cycle calibration with at least two rating scale questions.
