Speak to AI Coach with Voice Mode

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • June 17, 2026

You can now speak directly to AI Coach instead of typing. Voice Mode makes interacting with Coach feel more natural and immediate, giving you the flexibility to think out loud, workshop how to deliver feedback, or practice for difficult conversations without the friction of typing.

What's new:

  • Two ways to speak: Use Dictation mode (voice-to-text) across all Coach modules to quickly speak your prompts, or use Conversation mode (Talk with coach) in General Coach only, for a natural, free-flowing spoken dialogue.
  • Seamless interactions: In Conversation mode, you can hear Coach's response as streaming audio alongside synchronized text. You can even interrupt Coach mid-response to keep the conversation flowing naturally.
  • Perfect for role-play: Voice Mode makes General Coach the ideal partner for role-playing scenarios, allowing you to easily practice a 1:1 or performance review conversation before it happens.
  • Strict audio privacy: Your audio data remains entirely secure and private. No audio recordings are ever stored, retained, or used for training purposes.

Performance Admins can now track manager-requested feedback activity directly in the Anytime Feedback report, with easier visibility into usage and direct access to the feedback itself.

What's New:

  • A new table in Anytime Feedback Admin Reporting shows when managers have requested feedback for their direct reports.
  • Admins can see how often manager-requested feedback is being used and whether employees are responding.
  • Admins can open the feedback directly from the report, without needing to export data or search for individuals in Employee Profile.

Surveys

Get Deeper Feedback with Rating Question Branching

Jessie avatar
Shared by Jessie • June 09, 2026

You can now trigger targeted follow-up questions based on the specific rating an employee selects in a survey. This closes a major feedback gap, allowing you to automatically display conditional questions the exact moment a specific score is given.

What’s New:

  • "Show" Rules Only: Set specific conditional logic to reveal follow-up questions based on selected rating values.
  • Opt-In Per Question: Choose exactly which rating questions utilize branching logic within your survey setup.
  • Engage Availability: This feature is available natively for all customers with access to the new survey designer on Engagement plans.
  • Gradual Rollout: We are rolling this out starting June 9, expanding to all customers over the course of a week.

Build Surveys More Simply with the New Survey Designer

Shared by Jessie • June 09, 2026

We’ve given the survey designer a fresh update. Instead of jumping between tabs, you now get a simple, two-panel layout where you can build your survey on the left and see exactly what it will look like for employees on the right.

What’s New:

  • Two-Panel Layout with Live Preview: Edit your configurations on the left and see exactly what participants will see in real-time on the right.
  • Engage & Lifecycle Focus: Enjoy full functional parity across Engage and Lifecycle surveys (Effectiveness surveys remain unchanged).
  • Non-Disruptive Switch: The new UI appears when you next enter the survey configuration area.
  • Phased Release: Rollout begins June 9 and will expand gradually, reaching 100% of customers within a week.

Self-Service SAML/SSO Configuration - Now available on all accounts

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • June 01, 2026

We have rolled out self-service SAML/SSO configuration to all accounts. Account administrators and users with account configuration permissions can now set up and manage identity provider connections directly within Account Settings, giving your team immediate control over secure authentication without needing to contact Support.

What’s New:

  • Full Administrative Control: Manage your SAML SSO integrations independently from start to finish. You can input metadata, test connections, and deploy authentication updates on your own schedule.
  • Flexible Login Methods: You can now enable or disable specific login methods, such as native Passwords or Google Sign-In, directly from your settings page.
  • Updates & Migration: Existing SSO integrations will continue to function normally. However, because the support-assisted configuration flow will eventually be deprecated, we recommend integrating via the self-service flow if you need to update certificates or reconfigure your settings. This will save you from needing to migrate in the future.

Introducing Self-Service SAML/SSO Configuration

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • May 14, 2026

Setting up Single Sign-On (SSO) just got faster. Starting today, all new customers (joined after April 30, 2026) can configure and manage their SAML SSO connections directly within Account Settings.

This removes the need to contact Support for setup, giving your admin team immediate control over secure authentication. Existing customers can expect access to these self-service tools by June, and current SSO connections will remain unaffected.

What’s New:

  • Self-Service Configuration: New customers can now independently set up and manage IdP connections (such as Okta, Azure AD, and Google Workspace) and disable existing login methods if needed.
  • Instant Testing: Use the built-in "Verify" tool to test your connection before going live, ensuring a seamless experience for your employees.
  • Certificate Management: Easily update or rotate security certificates on your own schedule without waiting for manual intervention.
Surveys

Scoped Surveys (Limited) Role for Onboarding & Exit Surveys

Jessie avatar
Shared by Jessie • May 06, 2026

HRBPs can use the Surveys (Limited Permissions) role (formerly Surveys HR Business Partner) with demographic-based scoping on Onboarding and Exit (Lifecycle) surveys, giving them the visibility they need while protecting sensitive data.

What’s New

  • Use Surveys (Limited Permissions) for Onboarding/Exit surveys.
  • Scope HRBPs by demographics (e.g. Department, Country) so they only see individual responses for people in their part of the organisation.
  • Keep admins in control: HRBPs can manage processes and review feedback within their scope, without gaining full survey admin rights.

Goals

Introducing Cascading Goals

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • May 05, 2026

Cascading Goals lets you link supporting goals to a primary goal, so that as progress is made on the supporting goals, the primary goal's progress automatically updates to reflect the average. No need to manually update progress up the chain; cascading goals stay in sync in real time.

What's new:

  • Automatic progress roll-up — Link supporting goals to a primary goal, and its progress updates automatically as work moves forward.
  • Real-time alignment — Progress flows up your goal hierarchy instantly, so leaders always have an accurate picture without chasing updates.
  • Less manual overhead — No more recalculating and re-entering progress figures by hand.
  • Admin control — Administrators can enable or disable Cascading Goals under Settings > Goals at any time.

  • Demographic Comparisons: Automatically compare qualitative feedback between your top and bottom-performing demographic groups to identify key experience gaps.
  • Customizable Reporting: Central Admins can choose exactly which AI insights to include or exclude when sharing reports with stakeholders.
  • Privacy-First Design: Get the full picture through aggregated summaries while keeping individual comments and raw reports strictly confidential.
