Manager Sharing in Probation Reviews

Jessie avatar
Shared by Jessie • August 11, 2026

Managers can now share a completed Manager Review directly with the employee in Probation Processes. Previously, the only way to give an employee a copy of their probation review was for the manager to manually export it as a PDF and send it outside the platform.

What's new:

Admins get two new controls for each probation process:

  • Admins can enable sharing separately for each probation process.
  • Admins choose which questions can be shared for each Manager Review step. All questions are unshared by default.
  • Managers can share one completed Manager Review at a time, after the review conversation has happened.
  • The employee sees only the questions selected for sharing.
  • Sharing status is visible to managers while writing and viewing a review, including which questions may be shared, have been shared, or will remain private.
  • Admins can update sharing settings while a process is in draft, scheduled, or live status.

AI Coach

AI Coach is now available in Peer and Upward Feedback

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • July 22, 2026

AI Coach is now available in Peer Feedback and Upward Feedback during Performance Review cycles. Employees can open Coach directly from the feedback page to get help writing feedback that's honest, specific, and constructive, without staring at a blank form.

What's new

  • Employees can use Coach to work out what they want to say, phrase something difficult, or check that their feedback is balanced and specific before submitting.
  • Coach only draws on data the employee can already see, including feedback they've authored in the past. It never surfaces the other person's private data
  • No changes to how Coach is enabled. If AI Coach in Performance is already toggled on, it will appear automatically in peer and upward feedback tasks
AI Coach

Map Performance Ratings to Performance Groups

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • July 07, 2026

We've made it easier to analyse and benchmark performance data across your organisation. Performance Admins can now map each performance rating choice in their cycle to one of four standardised performance groups, without changing the rating labels or scale that employees and managers already see. Whether you use a 3-point or 5-point scale, your existing setup stays exactly as it is; this mapping simply adds a standardised layer that unlocks richer reporting.

What's new:

  • Standardised performance groups: Map your rating choices to four fixed groups: High performing, Performing, Low performing, and Not rated.
  • Your scale, unchanged: Mapping is an admin-only configuration step and has no impact on what reviewers or employees see.
  • Flexible setup: Configure mapping during the Reporting step when building a cycle, and update it at any time, even after a cycle is live or closed.
  • Richer exports: Performance group data is available in admin calibration views, the Manager Review export, and the Calibrations export.
Goals

Cascading Goals Now Support Custom Weighting

Sterling avatar
Shared by Sterling • June 30, 2026

You can now assign percentage weights to supporting goals in a cascading goal, so primary goal progress reflects the relative importance of each contributing goal rather than a flat average. Weighted progress gives leaders a more accurate picture of execution against strategy.

What's new

  • Manual weighting: Assign custom percentage weights to each supporting goal, so higher-priority initiatives have a proportionally greater impact on primary goal progress.
  • Two distribution modes: Goals default to equal distribution, where all supporting goals contribute equally, and weights auto-rebalance when goals are added or removed. Switch to manual weighting when you need more control.
  • Reset in one click: Switch back to equal distribution at any time if needed.
  • Flexible access: Account Admins and users with Goals Full Permissions can enable weighted supporting goals in Settings > Goals > Goal Configuration. Once enabled, goal owners can adjust weights on their own goals.
